BMW G450X (2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

The BMW G450X was a motorcycle manufactured by BMW, especially for Enduro purposes. It debuted in 2008, replacing the BMW G650X Challenge, and dropped from production in 2011 when it was replaced by the Husqvarna TX449 model.

Over four years of production, the BMW G450X featured several improvements that enhanced its overall capabilities. It was one of the lightest motorcycles manufactured by the House of Munich, with a dry weight of only 111 kg (245 lbs).

In the visual department, the bike packed standard features, such as a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight, a single seat, a single exhaust system with a muffler mounted high on the right side of the bike, a dual-sided swingarm, lightweight wire-spoke wheels, and off-road tires.

Underneath its clothing, the 2011 BMW G450X had installed a 449cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine managed by a fuel injection system, boasting 41 hp at 7,000 rpm and 43 Nm (32 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.

In the suspension department, the bike packed a 45 mm upside-down telescopic fork on the front and an Ohlins shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent handling and suspension performance.

The wire-spoke wheels were fitted with a 260 mm disc with a two-piston floating caliper on the front and a 220 mm disc with a single-piston floating caliper on the rear, delivering excellent stopping power.
