In 2023, BMW Motorrad launched the BMW CE 02, a parkour machine that appealed mainly to young riders. It is a machine great for city and urban environments that comes with a nimble, practical, and robust package stripped to its bare essentials in terms of design.
The e-bike came with two standard riding modes, Flow and Surf, where Surf delivered the optimal set-up for cruising on city streets, while Surf mode offered a dynamic experience beyond city limits. It was also available with an optional Flash riding mode, an original BMW accessory that provided a sporty and dynamic riding experience.
The machine came with an easy-to-read TFT display that offered readings about speed, battery charge status, and much more. In addition, it featured a USB-C charging socket that allowed charging various gadgets.
Some of the highlights of the new BMW CE 02 were represented by the steel frame with a single-sided swingarm, telescopic forks on the front end, ABS on the front wheel, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Recuperative Stability Control (RSC), a reverse assistant, two-up capabilities, and LED headlights along with daytime running and side indicator lights.
The 2023 BMW CE 02 was fitted with an electric motor powered by an air-cooled lithium-ion high-voltage battery that delivered a maximum power output of 15 hp (11 kW) and 56 Nm (41 lb-ft) torque for the riders aged 16.
