BAJAJ XCD 125 DTS-Si (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Bajaj XCD 125 DTS-Si was a motorcycle created by Baja Auto in 2007 and continued production until 2009. 18,000 units were sold in the first month, then 28,000 units per month.

A year after the XCD 125cc model 2009, the maker introduced a 135cc version of the XCD motorcycle, which reported over 20,000 units sold in the first month. In addition, due to reduced sales figures, the 135cc version was discontinued in November 2009.

The Bajaj XCD was the first 125cc motorcycle made in India that featured an LCD instrument panel. Also, it packed a spring-loaded foldable number plate and the same analog tachometer and digital speedometer as the Bajaj Discover.

In 2008, the Indian motorcycle maker released the Bajaj XCD 125 DTS-Si, a small displacement motorcycle in its second production year, packing the same specifications without significant modifications.

Aesthetically, the bike was characterized by standard features, such as a small front cowl, a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with a passenger grab handle, two side-mounted rear shocks, a single exhaust system mounted on the right-hand side, a center stand, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

In the performance department, the 2008 Bajaj XCD 125 DTS-Si had its heartbeat set by a 124cc four-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine, boasting 9 hp with a peak force at 7,000 rpm and 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
