BAJAJ PLATINA 125 DTS-Si (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Bajaj Platina was a 100cc commuter motorcycle introduced by Bajaj in 2005 to replace the Bajaj CT 100 model. The bike continued production until the Present (2024). Eight months after its introduction, the maker registered over 500,000 units sold.

In addition, a year after the 100cc version was launched, the maker introduced a 125 DTS-Si model in 2007, which packed the same engine as the XCD model. The 125cc version registered more than 30,000 units sold per month.

The Platina’s design was similar to the Bajaj Kawasaki Wind 125, which debuted in late 2003 but featured a more relaxed, upright seating position than its 100cc rivals. Its upright riding position was in line with other commuter motorcycles and delivered a plush riding experience.

Visually, the motorcycle packed standard features, such as a single headlight unit integrated into a small cowl, a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with a passenger grab rail, a center stand, a single exhaust system with a muffler mounted on the right-hand side, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

As for the power figures, the 2009 Bajaj Platina 125 DTS-Si had its soul brought to life by a 124cc single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 10 hp at 6,700 rpm and 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) torque at 5,000 rpm.
