As most of you probably already know, this year's Formula 1 season will be filled with so much changes that you will think you're watching a completely different type of motor sport.
By far the biggest changes revolve around the completely new engines that will power the single-seaters in 2014.
A couple of months ago we were telling you about the Brackley team signing off the last ever Mercedes V8 engine in Formula 1, paving the way to the introduction of avacuum cleaner turbocharged V6 hybrid in its place.
With less than two months until the 2014 F1 season gets underway, Mercedes-AMG wanted to show people a virtual 3D version of the new engine, internally codenamed PU106A Hybrid, and uploaded a short video of it on their official YouTube channel.
Apparently, the new powerplant is no longer called an engine... but a power unit, and is in essence a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 that also benefits from the kWs given by a much more powerful KERS-like unit.
