As most of you probably already know, this year's Formula 1 season will be filled with so much changes that you will think you're watching a completely different type of motor sport.
By far the biggest changes revolve around the completely new engines that will power the single-seaters in 2014.

A couple of months ago we were telling you about the Brackley team signing off the last ever Mercedes V8 engine in Formula 1, paving the way to the introduction of a vacuum cleaner turbocharged V6 hybrid in its place.

With less than two months until the 2014 F1 season gets underway, Mercedes-AMG wanted to show people a virtual 3D version of the new engine, internally codenamed PU106A Hybrid, and uploaded a short video of it on their official YouTube channel.

Apparently, the new powerplant is no longer called an engine... but a power unit, and is in essence a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 that also benefits from the kWs given by a much more powerful KERS-like unit.
