Electric motorcycle racing has a rather slow start, but we're ever so glad that things are moving, since the kick off is always the hardest part. The first round of the European eRoadRacing took place in Valencia, Spain, past weekend and was dominated by the Chinese ZongShen machinery.
The European eRoadRacing is not exactly what we'd call a popular road racing competition, as the grid only saw 7 machines. Once more, someone's got to be the pioneers of such sport, and we're happy to see interest slowly rising.

There are only 3 teams in the European eRoadRacing: Agni, with only one bike, Renegade Z and Zongshen, the last two running a 3-bike team each. Given such circumstances, it was only natural that one of two teams with almost half the grid each dominated the event... and that team was Zongshen.

Zongshen's line-up consists of an AC-motored bike ridden by Ho Chi Fung, and two DC-motored bikes ridden by Oscar Pena and Su Rong Zai. Zongshen was the big winner of the weekend, having taken almost all the podiums at stake. We'd looking forward to see this growing, maybe with some help from the FIM.
