VW is currently not making the Scirocco R any more. Production has stopped because the 265 hp engine that powers it is outdated. A facelift is likely to be revealed soon, receiving a more power 280 hp engine. But 15 hp is totally irrelevant when you mess about with Stage 4 tuning kits, the automotive equivalent of alchemy.
German tuners Mcchip-DKR do this sort of extreme work and their race car project really caught our attention.

The power increase comes from radical upgrades, like a huge turbo, a sports downpipe, sport catback and big injectors. A massive 130 bars of boost ensures 388 rampaging horse have enough air inside the 2.0-liter TFSI engine.

A 388 hp hot hatch has no place on the road. One pothole and the steering will jump out of your hands. That's why this Scirocco R has a huge wing, a full roll cage and race-spec suspension.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
