Toyota Prius Gets Tuned
- This is the first tunning kit for the Prius
- The kit includes new bumpers and spoilers
- The Prius is a best seller in its class
| Toyota Prius by AutoLabo |
The Prius now looks like a squashed bug, ready to take 5 troopers into the next millennium while being green. The kit includes a front bumper, a new set of side sills, a new set of wheel covers for better aerodynamics, a carbon fiber rear roof spoiler, a redesigned rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and a new exhaust system.
But who cares? Who would buy such a thing? The car is said to be more fuel efficient and have a higher top speed figure. The stock Prius is good for 105.6 mph, but with the new body, you could expect a gain of 10 mph in the process.
The “green dudes” at AutoLabo thought they should revolutionize the world of auto customizing and made the first Eco-tuning program for any car.
The Prius is the first ever hybrid car made by Toyota and it is regarded as the best selling green car of the world. At first the car was launched only on the Japanese market, but afterwards the car started to conquer other markets as well. Now, the little Prius is sold in over 40 countries, but its most successful markets remain Japan and North America.
The green car is powered by a 1.5 liter engine that develops 78 hp and it is aided by an electric motor with an operating voltage of 500 V and an estimated power output of 67 hp.
