Toyota Auris Hybrid Official Info Released

Toyota UK has released the official specifications for the Auris Hybrid, including the vehicle’s pricing and equipment levels.

The hybrid version of the Auris uses a 1.8 liter VVT-i petrol engine and an electric motor, with the total power reaching 134 hp. This allows the car to post a 11.4 seconds time for the 0 to 62 mph(100 km/h) sprint and offer a top speed of 112 mph (181 km/h).

When equipped with 15-inch wheels, the car returns a combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3 UK mpg (3.8 l/200km or 61.9 US mpg)and CO2 emissions are 89 g/km; with the 17-inch wheel option the car posts a fuel consumption figure of 70.6 UK mpg (4l/100km or 58.8 US mpg) and emits 93 g/km. In addition to that, Toyota says that the eco-friendly Auris’s NOX emissions are significantly lower than those of diesel cars of comparable performance.

The vehicle can also be used in the zero-emission, all-electric mode for distances up to 1.2 miles (1.9 km) at speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h).

In the UK, the Auris Hybrid is offered with two equipment levels: T4 and T Spirit. The T4 model comes with 15 inch wheels and optional 17 inch wheels, with the latter being a standard feature on the T4 Spirit version.

The standard features of the T4 version include:

-Climate control air conditioning
-Six-speaker audio with CD, radio, MP3 file player
-USB and Aux-in connection
-Front and rear electric windows
-Electric, heated door mirrors
-Front fog lights
-LED running lights
-Colour-matched door handles and mirrors
-Push-button start
-Seven airbags, including driver’s knee airbag
-Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC)
-Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)

The T Spirit grade adds the following items:

-Leather and Alcantara upholstery
-Cruise control
-Bluetooth
-Dusk-sensing headlamps
-Rain-sensing windscreen wipers
-Smart Entry and Start
-Auto-dimming electrochromatic rear view mirror
-Rear view camera display in rear view mirror

The Auris Hybrid T4 model has a starting price of 18,950 pounds (EUR 22,150 or $27,278), while the T Spirit model costs 20,700 pounds (EUR 24,200 or $29797).
