When the completely redesigned 2014 Corvette Stingray was revealed in Detroit almost a year ago, some enthusiasts were pretty disappointed that Chevy’s halo car had lost its round taillights.
Well, those of you that fancy the Corvette’s new styling cues but still hate the taillamps can opt for the SV8.R Corvette body kit offered by the folks over at Supervettes. Available for any C6 Corvette, the kit features a carbon fiber body, several details borrowed from the C7 and four round taillights.
Other highlights include new 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli Pzero tires, upgraded brakes, custom exhaust and a choice of exterior paints. These standard features are complemented by optional performance packages, bespoke interiors, sound systems and an exterior carbon fiber finish.
Supervettes says the SV8.R starts from $59,995 for the first five preorders, while future orders will begin at $65,000. The first vehicles will be completed by third quarter of 2014, with production to be limited to only 20 examples per year for 5 years.
