Our spy photographers have managed to scoop the latest Hyundai i20 for the 2013 model year, a facelifted version that will most likely debut later this year. While details of the engine range and tech upgrades are still unknown, we can tell you a bit about what’s hiding under the camo.
It appears that a major styling change will take place, as the i20 clearly sports a different lower grille design. As for the upper grille, that will likely follow the same design path as all the other new Hyundais, especially the i30 and i40.
The placement and the shape of the headlights seems to be influenced by the new i40. More ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design language is evident in the bumpers, which appear to have gained an interesting lip.
It’s rumored that Hyundai wants to leave the i20 unrecognizable, and a complete overhaul of the interior will happen with the 2013MY.
