Prior Design Gives the Mercedes CL a Makeover

Last we heard from the guys at Prior Design, they were giving the Gallardo a heretical tuning that made it look like the ultra-rare Reventon. Before that, the customizing specialist had tickled the new E-Klasse, and now we find out the spiritual predecessor of the Mercedes coupe was also among their targets.

We’re talking about the now venerable CL two-door (the W215), one of the best-looking Mercs we’ve ever laid our eyes upon.

The coupe is completely redesigned and now it has even better stance on the road. The tuner has managed to bring the car closer to the ground for that custom car look, while also fitting their massive 20-inch matte gold wheels.

In addition, the W215 CL gets restyled front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper with integrated diffuser, four tailpipes in the identical AMG arrangement, and a carbon fiber trunk lid spoiler, providing a look similar to AMG models back in the day. There are also Prior-Design front fenders and all mounting material needed for the installation of the parts. All parts are tested and come with TUV certificate.

We thing the kit actually joins together bits and pieces from previous generation E-Klasse, S-Klasse and SL Models, though you can’t really tell, and the overall result is something to behold, especially for fans of older Mercs.

Unfortunately, there’s no talk of what’s under the bonnet. It would have been fun to make the car look like an AMG and go like Brabus, but that’s too much to ask.
