Pigeon Races Cars on Highway in Australia

Have you guys seen that animated movie about a snail that wants to race? Come on Hollywood, nobody's ever going to watch invertebrates with racing stripes and laugh. What we need is something about pigeons that want to race cars. Because pigeons are funny...
Just check out this little fellow, who apparently thinks he has a big-block car and twin-carburetor wings. Shot on a highway somewhere in Australia, the little birdie is keeping up with traffic that's going 90 km/h (56 mph).

We see them every day and think of them as pests who aren't worth anything other than our neglect. But in the wild, pigeons have to be as fast and agile as hawks, birds of pray with razor-sharp talons and beaks. Compared to that, a pickup in the slow lane of a highway is not that scary.

If you believe in reincarnation, this bad boy must have been a trucker in a previous life. We know this is a bit of a stretch, but what if the bird has figured out it's faster to get around if it flies in the wake of cars where there's less resistance.

Stop that pigeon. How?! Nab him – jab him – tab him –- grab him … Stop that pigeon now!
