GM recently announced that its OnStar service will also be offered for vehicles offered on the Mexican market, with the move set to take place next year.

Thus, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC cars sold in Mexico will come with the safety, navigation and security features offered by the service, with Mexico being the fourth country where this is offered, following the US, Canafa and China, where customers are already using the feature.

“OnStar’s expansion into Mexico will make OnStar the preeminent provider of automobile safety and security services in Latin America,” said Mary Chan, president of Global Connected Consumer. “This is an important step as we will continue to grow GM’s connected vehicle solutions in other regions of the world in the coming months and years.”
