Movie car – we really can take them or leave them, because most are not really that interesting. The Hollywood crowd is big on special effects and the real world performance of say an Audi RS7 comes out all boring on the silver screen.
But Audi and indeed the whole Volkswagen group has been heavily involved in making futuristic cars for movies. There was that quattro car with spherical wheels from iRobot, lots of R8s in Iron Man and now a bespoke GT created for Ender's Game.

It only plays a short role in the movie as a VIP transporter used by the army. They never actually built the car and used computer models to overlay the image on top of an A8 that they actually used for shooting.

But since there's been such hype around Ender's Game, we though you guys might want to see this feature video, showing the design details of the supposed 2088 Audi. We liked that they actually designed the Space Frame of the car in detail.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
