Dacia Duster Prices Unveiled

Although the first public appearance won't happen sooner than the Geneva Motor Show in March, several websites around the world published what seem to be the prices for the upcoming Dacia Duster, the Romanian brand's first ever SUV. Before getting into details, we remind you that all these prices are still unconfirmed so the official information will probably emerge prior to the public display at Geneva.

If we are to trust the prices published on the German website mobile.de, the Duster will be offered in two trim levels, Ambiance and Laureate. The cheapest model will be the Duster Ambiance equipped with a 1.6 16V engine - 13,040 Euros, while the 1.5-liter configuration with 86 horsepower will cost 16,630 Euros. On the other hand, the Duster Laureate 1.6-liter 105 horsepower is priced at 16,630.

Features on the Ambiance setup include manual air conditioning, central locking and power windows. Both the aforementioned versions are offered in 4x2 configuration, as 4x4 prices are yet to be disclosed.

Rumors surrounding the Duster are claiming that prices have been disclosed by a Renault-Dacia dealer based in Germany, Autohaus Geimer GmbH.

Up until now, it was believed that pricing for the Duster would start at around 12,000 Euros for the 4x2 configuration and will go all the way up to 17,000 Euros for the top version equipped with an AWD system and all the available features.

The Duster will go on sale soon after the Geneva display, as Dacia's production facility has started production of the SUV since late 2009.
