BMW has given their coolest four-door, the 6-Series Gran Coupe a new heart that beats to the sound of ///M. Yes, the brand new M6 Gran Coupe is an official speed machine, arriving next year with to take on anything that’s stupid enough to challenge it.
The M6 Gran Coupe’s biggest attraction is the engine under the bonnet. It’s the same 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, borrowed from the X5 M and updated to the later S63Tü spec for the M5 and M6. It makes 560 PS (553 HP) and also produces 680Nm (501 lb-ft).
Despite having a little extra weight to carry around, the M6 with four doors still gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, which is the same as the M6 coupe and faster than the M5 saloon. Top speed is limited to just 50km/h (155mph), but can be increased to 305km/h (189mph) with optional M Driver’s package for a bit of extra cash.
