BMW Isetta Reinvented via Renderings [Photo Gallery]
Unfortunately, this is not expected, as the German carmaker wants to cover the aforementioned transportation need using the future i3 green city car. However, this didn’t stop Tony Weichselbraun, a recent graduate of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna from dreaming about a modern day Isetta.
He turned his dream into (virtual) reality, with the result being the creation from the adjacent images, which uses the eSetta designation.
Here’s how the designer describes his creation: “The eSetta is an urban electric vehicle intended as a car sharing platform. It is inductively charged at sharing hubs, thereby eliminating the unfound fear of limited range through empty batteries. Its design is inspired by the legendary BMW Isetta. The front door slides and rotates, allowing passengers to enter and exit the vehicle via sidewalk. By giving the car a highly recognizable and friendly appearance, I intended to reinforce the positive aspects of car sharing."

Keep it funk, keep it CHEAP, enable it to be charged from a normal 110v. outlet and it will be a perfect inner-city car. Think Tokyo, Mexico City etc.
