The guys from Autoguide had a rather interesting idea. They started a new interactive weekly feature called: 'Commute, Toy or Destroy' in which they ask their readers to choose between 3 similar cars which would fit their needs best.
This week, they went for the BMW M3, making us choose between the E30, E36 and E92. Of course, every BMW aficionado would find this game extremely hard to play. How can you choose a car out of these three? Actually, how can you differentiate between any 3 M3s?
As hard as it might be, we have a choice of our own. The E30 is just too beautiful to even be considered as a candidate for chopping. You just couldn't do it and, neither could we, that's why we'd keep the old M3 for showcasing opportunities and racetrack fun.
We'd also get the E90 M3 for our daily commute. Let's be honest, we're all a bit technology dependent when it comes to our everyday chores. Having you hi-fi sound system and hooking it up easily to your iPhone is almost addictive these days. Furthermore, you get room for 4 and a lot of power when you need it (not to mention it can also be comfortable).
Unfortunately, the E36 draws the short straw. It wasn't a bad car, no M3 ever was, but is a lot duller than its competitors here. So, in case Autoguide is looking, that's our choice, what's yours?
