Aston Martin Confirms Production of 150 V12 Zagatos via Facebook

There is no more  waiting the new V12 Zagato, as Aston Martin has made an online statement via Facebook page, regarding the production of the new V12 Zagato. The Aston Martin Zagato will be manufactured in only 150 copies. The cost for one of these beasts is expected to arrive at GBP330,000 including taxes, which is roughly EUR450,000.

The Zagato offers an aluminum bodywork in combination carbon fiber, front wings alone have been built in seven pieces by manual fabrication.Under the hood, it has received an 6-liter V12 that will be based on the earlier Vantage model. It could be offered in the more muscular version which produces 510hp and 570 Nm of torque.

The New Aston will stand out with a new roof specially designed to allow extra headroom for racers bulky helmets. At the front, it has incorporated the Aston Martin look, but that’s all it has decided to keep.

Designers from Aston Martin in partnership with Italian coachbuilder Zagato who has also worked with Ferrari,Lancia and Alfa Romeo for decades. Using their knowledge in airplane design techniques they have incorporated a new cutting design for the new model.

The new model marks the 50th anniversary of the 1961 DB4 Zagato. There are some features that Zagato has inherited from Vanquish, like LED lights and muscular flank that reminds us of it’s predecessors. The Zagato is truly a force not to be messed with, as the supercar transmits a powerful feel trough the radical design.
