Toyota has brought back the TRD Pro specification of the Tacoma for the 2017 model year.
This time, the all-new 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro is based on the ninth-generation of the pickup truck from Toyota, which was launched last fall. It will reach dealerships in the USA starting next month, and the MSRP starting price will be $40,760 for the six-speed manual version, while the six-speed automatic starts at $42,760.

The TRD Pro version of the Tacoma comes with factory-installed off-road accessories, which were designed to the strict requirements and tests carried out by the specialists at Toyota Racing Development.

The idea behind a version like the 2017 Tacoma’s TRD Pro variant is to provide a version that is even better on a particular feature, which is off-roading in the case of this model.

Toyota
has imagined the 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro especially for enthusiasts of off-road driving, so you had better not get a truck like this just to go to the mall and the office. Enthusiasts will be able to order this model in only three exterior colors: Cement(fabulous name), Barcelona Red Metallic, and Super White. You have one guess at what we would get.

On top of the standard equipment range provided for the Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab Short Bed Model, the TRD Pro comes with a few more elements that make it more suitable for driving on unpaved surfaces.

First of all, it has 16-inch black alloy wheels fitted with Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Kevlar-reinforced tires. There is also an aluminum front skid plate, a set of LED fog lights, new headlights, black-bezel rear lights, and multiple design elements.

The interior comes with leather-trimmed front seats, multifunctional steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls, TRD floor mats and shift knob, power sliding rear window with privacy glass, a blind spot monitor, rear parking assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The only engine available is a 3.5-liter V6 direct-injection Atkinson-cycle unit with variable valve timing, and it makes its voice heard with a TRD cat-back stainless-steel exhaust system. It is mated to a 4WD system with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.

The tow package is included as standard, and is comprised of a power steering cooler, an uprated alternator, a trailer-sway control system, and an engine oil cooler, among others. The suspension has FOX shocks tuned by TRD, with a 1-inch lift from the TRD front springs and a progressive-rate off-road leaf spring rear setup.
