The 2016 GMC Yukon ups the ante in the truck-based full-size SUV segment with added standard equipment and a plethora of minor model year changes. From the Yukon to the Yukon XL and the Denali range, GMC’s biggest SUV boasts better everything, including added passenger safety.
Introduced as all-new for the 2015 model year, the Yukon and Yukon XL gained an Enhanced Driver Alert Package with Lane Keep Assist as standard. IntelliBeam headlights with auto high-beam control are there to make life easier for the man or woman behind the steering wheel.
While the SLE, SLT and Denali come with 20-inch rollers from the get-go, the automaker now offers 22-inch wheels as an optional extra. All models across the range boast a capless fuel fill feature, designed to eliminate the risk of under or overtightening the filler cap.
The 2016 GMC Yukon features an enriched color palette. Buyers of the SLE, SLT and Denali can now get the Yukon in Crimson Red Tintcoat while White Frost Tricoat is reserved for the SLT and Denali. Both 2016 MY Yukon exterior colors are available for an additional charge.
On an ending note, the hands-free liftgate feature is now standard on the SLT and Denali models. Waving your foot under a sensor beneath the rear bumper is enough to open and close the liftgate of the 2016 GMC Yukon. Don’t forget to have your GMC Yukon's keyless entry fob in one of your pockets though.
