The Yamaha FZ8 is one of the best choices for those who feel like a 1,000cc bike would be overkill, yet they want more than the traditional 600cc class has to offer.
This new naked bike can fulfill a lot of fast-paced dreams, while at the same time being suitable for everyday riding. Whether you need a bike for commuting to work, doing some small shopping around the city, but also feel like racing your friends up the twisty bends, the Yamaha FZ8 will do everything you ask of it.
The 779cc 4-cylinder in-line engine packs a lot of power and delivers enough torque at lower rpm making the bike fun to ride on the back alley and on the open highway, as well. The FZ8 inherits the proven technologies from the R1/ FZ1 bikes, such as the ceramic compound coated cylinders, or the forged aluminium pistons.
2013 brings a new exhaust muffler for the FZ8, along with full adjustability of the fork; it's now easy to trim the rebound and compression and thus attain the perfect grip and handling feel for both urban or touring riding. This neat naked machine will be in the dealerships starting February 2013, available from $8,890 (€6,816), in either Matte Grey or Matte Black.
