If the YZF-R1 is not exactly what you were looking for, but you love the idea of almost unlimited power and aggressive bikes kept under control, then the FZ1 might be the name of the game.
The 2013 FZ1 is powered by a no-nonsense DOHC 998cc engine, packing 4 cylinders and 20 valves, delivering both high-rev stability for track days or sporty riding, but being also able to deliver mid-range grit for city rides or touring on winding mountain roads.
The FZ1 cast aluminium chassis uses the engine as a support element and comes with a fully-adjustable 43mm inverted fork and a lightweight swingarm with excellent grip and cool looks. The massive 320mm front dual rotors and 245mm rear disc are squeezed by monoblock calipers for increased stopping force and better overall handling.
On the dash instrument side, the 2013 provides a lot of data via an analog tachometer, digital speedometer, dual trip meter with reserve function, odometer, temperature display, lights for neutral, high beam, low fuel and oviously, turn signals.
This beast is available for prices starting at $10,790 (€8,256) and comes in Cobalt Blue.
