Yesterday we brought you one of the truly nifty custom builds coming from Vietnam, but it looks like the scene is way more developed in this country than we thought it was. And just to prove that, here's a stunning cafe-racer from the Tu Thanh Da Garage, a machine which could easily put many European builds to shame.
The donor bike is an 1981 Honda CB750F, by all means of the of the bike customizer favor quite a lot as a starting point. With the engine receiving a complete overhauling to manufacturer specs, this CB is once more ready to prowl the street: a 4-cylinder array of 736cc total displacement and delivering 68 HP, mated to a stock 5-speed tranny, all oil-cooled. The airbox was tossed and conical air filters were obviously installed for a better intake flow.

The front end was replaced by a GSX USD fork with Tokico calipers, while the classic retro headlight gave way to a very cool bi-Xenon diagonally-stacked array with... wait for it... angel eyes! How cool is such a modern approach to an old-school cafe-racer? Great idea!

The chassis got some architecture modifications to accommodate the custom sheet metal hand-made tank and the new classic tuck and roll seat. The rear disc brake sports a Honda caliper. Add in the bar-end mirrors, lowered clip-ons, and a careful paint job to match the retro-modern looks combination and there you have it, the perfect proof that Vietnam can cafe-race just as good as anybody else.

Thanks Khoa Nguyen Xuan for the tip.
