The Spanish brand SEAT came with a station wagon version of the Leon Cupra, sharing its platform with the Golf R Variant from Volkswagen.

SEAT was already a reckoned sporty brand on the European market, and customers were happy every time the Spanish brand launched a beefed-up model from the Cupra range. That was before the Cupra was turned into a separate brand. But those who were no longer teenagers but had kids of their own needed cars with bigger cabins, and the regular Leon Cupra just didn't cut it. As a result, SEAT introduced a long-roof version for that.

Sharing its front fascia with the Leon Cupra hatchback version, the ST featured angular styling and full-LED headlights. Yet, the profile was different. It still had the same front doors, but the more extended roof obliged the automaker to install a set of windows between the rear doors and the D-pillars. Finally, at the back, the racked-forward tailgate was adorned with a roof spoiler on its upper section and the Cupra lettering on the rear panel. Under the bumper, the Leon Cupra ST received a diffuser and oval-shaped exhausts on the sides.

Inside, the automaker installed high-bolstered bucket seats at the front and a split-folding bench in the rear that could expand the trunk space from 587 liters (20.7 cu-ft) to 1,470 liters (52 cu-ft). On the dashboard, the automaker installed a mixed instrument cluster that featured two dials with two gauges included and a TFT placed between them. In addition, the center stack hosted the infotainment unit's display.

Under the hood, SEAT used the same inline-four from the regular Leon Cupra and offered it with either 280 PS (276 hp) or 300 PS (296 hp) and all-wheel drive. In addition, the FWD version came fitted as standard with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
