So last time I wrote about Warren Buffett Fortune called me a “hungry blogger”. It all started after we got our noses into the hidden parts of this world wide internet and managed to find quite an interesting image of the American business magnate. The 84-year old genius investor was holding the wheels of a red Subaru, well at least that is how it appeared.
That shouldn’t be such a big deal, yet it is when it comes to a driver that is renown for his business ingenuity and who is partial to American-made cars. We never said he owns it and since the picture was quite blur it simply appeared Buffet was holding the wheel. Things went that viral, the poor man finally ended up posing next to his new Cadillac to clear earlier rumors.
As to Warren Buffett’s previous daily driver, well it’s the same 2006 Cadillac DTS we’re looking at right now. With only 19,000 miles on board, the car was donated to charity.
The bidding is already underway and will run through February 19. The sale of the car will benefit Girls Incorporated, a non-profit organization that helps inspire girls to be “Strong, Smart and Bold”. Since the car is wearing Warren Buffett’s signature on the dashboard, the organizers are hoping people will value the car more than what a normal Cadillac of that year would be worth.
