To celebrate the launch of the initial SR400 machine, Yamaha commissioned a one-off custom machine to the amazing Danish builders Wrenchmonkees. The bike will be unveiled at the 2013 EICMA in Milan, in early November, but a similar DIY modding kit will also be available online.
Wrenchmonkees teamed up with Kedo for this job, and several of the parts offered as a kit are very similar to those used in the show bike. Needless to say that since Wrenchmonkees' machine is a special, one-off build, the kit will sport differences.
The SR400, one of the modders' favorite machines is an iconic bike in both Yamaha's and industry's history, and we can meet a huge number of customized bikes on any continent.
Part of Yamaha's Yard Built custom bikes series, Wrenchmonkees also created last year's one-off XJR1300.
We'll be back with more details and prices, as they become available.
