World SuperBike Extends Partnership with the Phillip Island Circuit

Australia's Victoria Government has extended the partnership with Dorna Group as far as the World SuperBike races are concerned: the Phillip Island circuit will be home for the WSBK competitions for three additional years, through 2017.
The former agreement ends in 2014, but now the Oz bike lovers will still be able to cheer trackside for their fav riders. The recent WSBK race at Phillip Island gathered 61,500 spectators over the three days, with many more enthusiasts watching the broadcast race.

Javier Alonso, Managing Director of Dorna Group said: "Phillip Island is a special place, a unique track in a unique location. The island always delivers intense competition, with its long straight and fast flowing turns. It's a great test for riders and a challenge for teams."
