We're back, ladies and gents, with yet another “in your face” type of study. You know, those type of endeavors devised, executed and published by individuals and organizations and which pretty much can be characterized by this one word: duh...!
Here we have a study with a fancy name: "Conspicuous Consumption as a Sexual Signaling System." Its goal: see how products in one's possession change the way in which people of the opposite sex perceive that person.
Somewhere in that study, 408 students were asked to solve this riddle: you have a guy with a Porsche Boxster on the one hand, and a guy with a Honda Civic on the other. Which one will you choose? Which one of the two will you choose for a long-term relationship and which one for a fling?
We are pretty confident that the results you are about to read below as are obvious as they get. Women dig men with Porsches, not as a long time partners, but rather as “wham bam thank you maam” tools. There are fewer women who would marry a Porsche owner than those who would, well, you know...
The Civic guy on the other hand failed miserably in all aspects. About the same number of women who would marry a Porsche owner (few) would choose a Civic one as a husband. Even fewer would date a Civic owner.
As for men, well, they pretty much don't give a dime on what women drive when it comes to dating them. Read for yourselves by following this link.
