Wolverine Takes His Drivers License... Finally!

Hugh Jackman, the "Wolverine" star, headed to a Staten Island DMV for his road test, where he "passed with flying colors," as a witness said. It was about time for that, so congratulations Hugh, you finally did it!

According to nydailynews.com, the 41-year-old actor celebrated with a sandwich and some lottery tickets at the nearby Corporate Grind deli, probably thinking that he can now stop from riding horses all the time an get behind the wheel.

Chosen as one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" 5 years in a row, 2000-2004, Hugh Jackman is best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men series, plus Kate & Leopold, Van Helsing and The Prestige. Ironically, in the X-Men movies, he plays Wolverine, while in Van Helsing (2004), he goes after a monster called The Wolfman.

In November 2008, People magazine named Jackman "Sexiest Man Alive." Joking about that, Hugh said: “I think we ran a very strong campaign and I'm not proud of it -- I can admit it now. We're the first ones to run a negative campaign and we spent years bringing Clooney, Pitt, Damon, and McConaughey down to size. I was prepared to do absolutely anything.”

He is terribly near-sighted and has extremely blurry vision when he isn't wearing contacts. Even when hosting the Tonys and "Saturday Night Live" (1975), Jackman memorized almost everything he had to say so he wouldn't have to struggle to read. We hope that won’t be a problem while driving...

He didn’t seem to have a problem while performing those huge jumps, slides and implausible stunts aboard a motorcycle in X-men: The Origins. Rumors say it was Jackman’s own ride that was used in the movie. Should that be the reason that made him go to four-wheeled vehicles?
