The Koenigsegg One:1 and the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce aren't nearly in the same league. End of story - in theory, that should cover a comparison involving the pair of velocity machines.
In practice, though, when the two are parked together on a London street, it's difficult not to be amazed by the way in which the Angelholm contraption overshadows the Raging Bull.

The piece of footage at the bottom of the page shows us just that, with the Koenigsegg also firing up its twin-turbo (variable geometry turbos, remember?) V8. While the supercar spotter behind this video was already ignoring the Sant'Agata Bolognese machine, the aural move determined him to continue on his path.

Nevertheless, we mustn't forget that the Aventador SV is the car used by its maker to demonstrate Lamborghinis are not just about the show. With a sub-7m Nurburgring time, the Superveloce is just three seconds behind the mighty Porsche 918 Spyder.

Speaking of Green Hell adventures, we'll remind you that Koenigsegg is currently in the midst of rebuilding the One:1 that was wrecked in a brutal airborne crash late last month.

The accident saw the Swedes showing an all-open attitude, with the company releasing a report on the accident, while adding a photo of its engineers working to "salvage" the destroyed hypercar. Oh, and let's not forget the safety systems update following the crash - Do keep in mind that the world has only been blessed with seven of these one-hp-per-each-kilo beasts.

As those of you who haven't been camping without Internet access know, the accident was caused by an ABS failure, not unlike the Camaro ZL1 Nurburgring crash that saw Chevrolet moving on as if nothing had happened.

Koenigsegg will be back at the Ring, aiming to grab the production car record from the 918 Spyder, but, given the complexity of the repair and the fact that the automaker also has to market the new 1,500 hp Regera hybrid, it hasn't provided an expected date for the adventure.
