Watch and Learn: Locking the Front Is Biting the Dust

Braking hard in tight situations is the only thing a rider can do in order to avoid a collision. Even if if comes to the extreme solution of laying the bike down, it's either brake and stop/ swerve or hit the ground.
However, learning how to brake really hard and remaining rubber side down is a things which comes with practice and repeated exercise. Motorcycle safety courses and constant training are the best ways to keep one's braking skills to their best, and thus increase the chances to save the day when the going gets tough.

Unfortunately, knowing the limit of one's front end is one thing few riders want to experiment and master, and when emergency braking is needed, they either fail to brake at all, or squeeze the lever with infamous "death grip", lock the front wheel, then lose the bike and spill.
