We don’t think we’ve ever seen something like this ever before: the five most epic rides the caped crusader has ever used in his TV life all together in one place!
The first car is the classic model, as seen in the 1960s TV series. It’s origins are found in the Lincoln Futura concept car built by Ford in 1955. We don’t know if this is the original or one of the many copies, but the car seen in the TV series famously came with a gas turbine engine that could only run for about 15 seconds before running out of fuel.
The second car is our firm favorite, the one used in the 1989 film Batman returns. It’s got the best lines and features Art Deco design that best matches the look of Gothem City.
Next up is the car from Batman Forever. It was supposed to have grappling hooks that allowed it to run up walls but it seemed relatively fake in the movie.
The fourth car you see in the video is the one used in 1997’s Batman & Robin. Again, this is from a film featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, so the overall impression is... fake.
But you know what isn’t fame? The tumbler, already used in the last two movies, and which will play a key role in this year’s The Dark Knight Rises. It’s the most credible car yet, built from scratch by a British company. We hear all these vehicles were gathered together for a bonus feature for the aforementioned movie.
