VW GTI Fahrenheit shakes America

By the looks of it, Volkswagen went out on a quest to conquer America and they are taking some serious steps in this regard. First of all, they just launched a new Volkswagen GTI model called Fahrenheit, a very exclusive model, which will be available for only 1,200 customers.

The colour range is very poor, you can only find it in orange, that's if you can find one. Each of the 1,200 vehicles will feature an unique number on the three-spoke leather steering wheel, so for sure you won't find anyone with a car exactly like yours. Let's not forget the Fahrenheit badging, present on almost every piece of the interior, the orange interior accent trim and Fahrenheit orange stitching on almost everything possible, the floor mats, DSG boot, steering wheels and brake handle.

What else is there to say about this car? You might be interested in the leather top sport heated seats, the sunroof, the European sport-tuned suspension and the 18 inch alloy rims. Too bad they're only making 1,200 of these babies, because the price is pretty affordable too. Only US$ 27,665 for this model, which comes with the advanced automatic DSG transmission as standard.

Volkswagen has been present in America since 1955, and they had some pretty rough times on American land - including the 90s, more notable 1993 when they sold less than 50,000 cars throughout America. For a company as big as Volkswagen, operating in a country as big as America 50,000 cars is shameful. But later, in 2001, they cleaned up their act and managed to sell around 350,000 cars, and who knows what the future has in store for Volkswagen.
