It seems that Golf R owners are really getting worried about the new super hothatches that are coming and are raising the stakes. After yesterday’s Cam Shaft masterpiece, yet another monster R has emerged. This time, it’s been tuned by a German company called ShwabenFolia, which judging by its name usually does wraps.
The 2-liter turbo engine under the bonnet of the car has been thoroughly tuned from 270 PS to a massive 330 PS. That’s about the same as the 2.5-liter engine of the Audi RS3. Who need more cylinders?!
Cosmetically, the Golf R benefits from a matte gunmetal grey wrap with red accents. Those cool wheels are 19-inch BBS alloys, painted red to match the body, and wrapped in 235/35-19 Dunlop sticky tires. The Germans have also dropped the car by a few millimeters by adding sport H&R suspension.
Our favorite part on the car has to be the custom Capristo exhaust system and the sticker above it – louder than your mom last night!
