Volkswagen Says It's Time for Camping

Summer is now on full throttle and one activity that fits this season like a glove is camping. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle’s British arm knows this very well and has thus come up with a new offer in order to offer camping vehicles for everyone.

The company’s Assured Used program offers vehicles ranging from 2009 models to ex-demonstrator models that come with a low mileage, promising to offer affordable fun. One of the most interesting models is the California, which manages to overcome many of the classic disadvantages of such vehicles, such as the poor handling.

The California is unique, as Volkswagen is the only automotive manufacturer to produce its own campervan, meaning it has the same high quality and durability standards as its car and van ranges,” a company statement explains.

It is car-like to drive and compact enough to use every day, yet quickly converts to a home from home with a luxury specification that includes a pop-up roof, kitchen, fridge, two double beds, heater, an outdoor table and two chairs (which neatly stow in the sliding side door and rear tailgate), and front seats that rotate to face the rear to create a lounge for four people.”

Customers who acquire a vehicle through the aforementioned program should know that prior to the sale, this receives a multi-point inspection, who recondition in to feel like new. In addition to that, the vehicles come with a history check, as well as with a year of VW Roadside Assistance.
