European customers will call it the Toyota GT 86, while in the home market of Japan it will be known simply as the 86. In America, however, those looking to buy the Toyobaru 2+2 sports coupe will get to enjoy a Scion FR-S version.
We saw both the Subaru BRZ and its Toyota at the 2011 Tokyo Motors Show last week, but the laws of time and space dictated we couldn’t be in two places at once. And so, we bring you video footage of the official reveal even for the Scion FR-S, which took place at the Los Angeles Motor Show on November 30th.
The car was introduced by Scion’s Vice President, Jack Holl, who knows how to work a crowd. According to him, the North American debut will take place as early as next spring, with prices expected to be low enough "to attract recent college graduates". First estimates suggest somewhere in the region of $25,000.
