Vettel Yet to Nickname Red Bull RB7 for 2011

Winning often comes with a superstition related to it and, since we're talking about reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel, we figure most of you already know what the German driver's is. Ever since he stepped into the Milton Keynes HQ, the 23-year old had one constant superstition, or habit if you may: nicknaming his Red Bull cars.

After “Kate's Dirty Sister” in 2009 (this was the name given to the Red Bull RB5), Vettel switched to “Luscious Liz” for the RB6 last year. That relationship didn't last long though, as some problems with the chassis, extensive damage to the car following a troublesome start of the season to be more precise, led to a replacement of his initial single-seater after the Monaco GP.

The new car, “Randy Mary”, took him to his first title in Formula 1, strengthening common belief that things always work out the third time you do it. For 2011 however, the German seems to be out of idea for the time being, as he is yet to “baptize” his new RB7 racer.

When asked by the reporters on Tuesday how he thinks his car looks like with the #1 attached to it, Vettel smiled.

The number looks good. I saw the car in one piece for the first time this morning. So I haven't got a name for her yet,” the German driver told reporters in Spain.

After the first day of driving the RB7 around the Ricardo Tormo track, Vettel topped the timing reports with the best time of 1:13.769. After 95 laps spent on the Spanish venue, most of which were performed in the afternoon, his car experienced not reliability issues whatsoever.
