Ultra-Rare Fisker Tramonto For Sale

In the world of car designers, Henrik Fisker’s name is more recognizable than most, as he is credited with creating the BMW Z8 and the current Aston Martin Vantage. But few people know that back in 2005, Henrik decided to start his own company. Thus Fisker Coachbuild was born. And it has now emerged that one of the few models ever built is up for grabs.

The first car to ever be made by the new company was named the Tramonto. The model was based on the chassis of the Mercedes-Benz SL-model. Fisker had a number of engine conversion packages for the SL’s powerplants, but the most popular by far was the one for the SL55. A total of 610 hp was squeezed from the 5.5-liter V8 that originally produced just 493 hp. In order to achieve this level of performance, Fisker had joined efforts with Danish tuning company Kleeman.

The original plan was to produce a total of 150 Tramontos, but in the end only 13 were made, making this a very rare car. This particular vehicle is up for grabs from its first and only owner, this being the first time it is being put up for sale. The 2007-built car has reportedly only covered just 1,609 miles (2,586 km), and benefits from the Kleeman tuned SL55 supercharged motor.

The private owner is only asking $150,000 (EUR115,000), which in our opinion is a low price, considering that there are so few of them and it now costs nearly double than when it was new. As Fisker has now gone into the plug-in hybrid car business, this Tramonto will remain a very rare and unique car indeed. If you are a car colector, you should grab it as you will never see another one coming in the other direction!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
