No matter how focused a rider may be, there still are unexpected situations which lead to nasty consequences. That's why old riders say that it's virtually impossible for a motorcyclist to be prepared for absolutely everything which might cross his way.
It's the case of these poor guys who crash at a relatively high speed after losing control of the bike because of a large piece of trash in their way. We're inclined to believe it's just cardboard, so the crash was triggered rather by the pilot caught unaware and getting scared.
The footage has a poor quality, but it looks like the speeding car ahead has created enough lift force to cause the cardboard to rise in the way of the incoming bike. Nevertheless, should the rider not have lost his grip and kept on throttling, the incident would have ended only with a good scare, without hospital and all.
