Toyota announced that it wants to install a large solar panel array near the engine producing plant in Deeside, Wales.
The plan includes 12,680 solar panels that will be built on the site which will provide 3,475 MW hours of electricity each year to make engines for the Auris and Auris Hybrid cars.

Said to assure around 10 percent of the electricity needed at the plant, the array will also secure 592 current jobs and increase the possibility of a future investment.

If the project receives green light, the construction will take between eight to ten weeks, with the solar farm spreading over an area of 69,000 square meters. The panels are also said to have an operational life of around 25 years.
