Toyota Motorsport South Africa has announced its drivers lineup for its Hilux and Yaris models used to compete in the 2014 cross country and S2000 rally season.
The Toyota Hilux you see in the photos here is the same that got fourth place in this year’s Dakar Rally and it will be driven by cross country champions Anthony Taylor and Dennis Murphy. They will be backed up by another Hilux of Leeroy Poulter and Rob Howie who finished the Dakar 33rd this year, which is a nice achievement for their first time competing.
Poulter will be busy all season because he will also race the Castrol Team Toyota Yaris in the S2000 class, along with Elvene Coetzee. They too will be backed up by another crew in a same model Yaris drove by former national champion Hergen Fekken and Carolyn Swan as navigator.
Toyota Motorsport has another ace in its sleeve, as a third Yaris will joing the party in Imperial colors, following to have Giniel de Villiers at the wheel, while Greg Godrich will read him the notes. Last year, which was also their first year in the S2000 class, they managed to finish on third place.
