The 2014 Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid will be available with a significant discount in the United States, as the Japanese automaker is trying to keep up rival offerings from General Motors or Nissan.
Starting next month, the entry-level 2014 Prius Plug-in will be $2,010 cheaper than the 2013 model, which lowers the vehicle’s starting price at $29,990. In addition, the better equipped Prius Plug-in Advance will be offered at $34,905 thanks to a $4,620 discount.
Despite these price reductions, the 2014 Prius Plug-in hybrid comes with the same features, which include heated seats, remote climate, 10-spoke alloys wheels, Roadside Assistance through ToyotaCare for the base model.
The Advance version is equipped with HDD Navigation with Entune App Suite, SofTex-trimmed heated front seats, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, head-up display and Safety Connect, besides the optional Technology Package.
