The idea behind making a great tuned show car is to get it to stand out, and give it that ‘special’ something to make onlookers go ‘Oh, that’s cool!’. The owner of the Toyota Celica in this video has taken the whole concept one step further, sacrificing the car’s drivability for the sake of having some of the most outrageously cambered wheels we have ever seen.
Couple them with the ultra-low ride height, and you get a... unique look. Judging from the video, the contact surface of the tire is actually the inner side wall - not the part that was originally intended to touch the tarmac, as it offers no real grip and the likelihood of the tires bursting at high speed is extremely high.
However, purely as a show car, it is brilliant and something you don’t get to see every day, and we admire the owner/driver for attempting such a dramatic modification regime in order to make his car unique.
