Toseland & Crash Concert at Red Bull US GP

Though you may know him better for his abilities on a race track, MotoGP racer and double World Superbike Champion James Toseland is also a talented musician with a great voice, as some might say.

When he’s not battling Valentino Rossi and the rest of the MotoGP racers, he returns to his first love, music, and performs along with his band, CRASH.

This year, Monster Tech 3 Yamaha’s Factory rider James Toseland and his band Crash are listed to perform for the crowd gathered for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, on July 4.

The 2009 race marks the fifth consecutive visit for MotoGP teams and riders to the historic Monterey circuit and the first time the event has been staged on the July 4th weekend.

“This free concert is an integral part of our continuing effort to give back to the fans who support the sport”
said Bob Starr, Yamaha’s General Manager of National Communications, “and the fact that James will be “piloting” two extremes of Yamaha products is just fantastic for the Yamaha brand.”

Crash was formed in 2002 by singer/guitarist Paul Grant-Reason and MotoGP star James Toseland on vocals/piano. The line up is completed by Warren Odell (guitar/bass/vocals) and Gavin Hall (drums).

James Toseland and Crash have played for large crowds around the world, including the United States, with a set list that includes Guns N Roses and Kings of Leon.

“As a partner of Yamaha Motor Corp. for over 24 years, GE Commercial Finance is proud to be part of this fantastic event,”
said Paul Puma of GE Commercial finance. “James is an incredible talent both on and off the track and brings real class to the motorcycle industry.”
