This morning Top Gear Live gave The Absolute Radio Christian O’Connell Breakfast show team a unique commute experience, offering the presenters a fleet of supercar taxis for transporting them to work (don’t we all dream about this?).
The Lamborghini Murcielago allowed DJ Christian O’Connell to arrive early, while co-host Richie Firth enjoyed his time spent in an Audi R8 V8.

“Well that certainly was a commute that I won’t be forgetting in a hurry, it was a fantastic experience and to think that the car is only one of five in the world, it amazes me they are even allowed out on the road!” O’Connell commented when he arrived at the studio.

Travel presenter, Maggie Doyle, used a more extreme means of transportation, in the form of the open-top, Caterham Superlight R500, one of the few vehicles that managed to launch in the face of the Bugatti Veyron on the Top Gear test track, with the vehicle also set to be put through its paces by The Stig on the indoors track of this year’s Top Gear Live.

In addition to that, newsreader Andrew Bailey arrived at work in the newest vehicle of the lot, the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster.
