TomTom XXL Unveiled, Five Inch Screen

A new navigation solution has been announced today by TomTom, prior to its official launch on the US and Canadian market this October. The new solution, which comes in the form of TomTom XXL 530S and TomTom XXL 540S also brings a new five-inch screen.

The new TomTom XXL devices enrich our product portfolio by providing our customers with new offerings that cater to individual preference and need, like the larger, easy-to-read screen” Jocelyn Vigreux, TomTom president said in a release. “The introduction of the XXL range is in line with our strategy to increase the depth and breadth of our product offerings, based on customer feedback.

The XXL range will includes the entire array of TomTom's applications. Both the 530S and 540S feature IQ Routes, full maps of the US and Canada, Map Share, Fold and Go and TomTom Home.

The IQ Routes, based on historical speed measurements for every time of day and for every road segment, allows the driver to pursuit a faster route and, according to TomTom, is responsible for saving significant time, money and fuel in 35 percent of the cases.

Unique to the XXL range will be Advanced Lane Guidance, which realistically presents complex highway junctions and lane-specific visual directions, preloaded maps of Mexico (in addition to the Canadian and American ones) and seven million points of interest.

The new XXL range will be available, as we said, starting this October. Prices range from $279,95 for the 530S and 299.95 for the 540S.
