How would you like to be paid to spend time on an exotic island? The British satnav developer TomTom promises to do just that, with the company having launched the Map Paradise Project earlier this month.
The program’s aim is to find families and groups of friends who for helping the company map five tropical islands. Today, the applications for the first island, Fiji, have closed, with TomTom opening those for St. Lucia.
Thus, the company is looking for people who want to spend two weeks on the island and earn GBP10,000 (USD15,546 or EUR12,339 at the current exchange rates) for mapping it. You can enter the competition by clicking this link. Winners of the second stage will be announced on Friday 22nd June on Facebook.
“The Map Paradise Project has got off to a great start. We have had thousands of applications to map the first island of Fiji,” says Corinne Vigreux, managing director, TomTom. “It will be a very difficult job choosing the winners and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has entered. Don’t worry if you miss out on the Fiji mapping experience, as there is another great opportunity to map St.Lucia.”
