The GT 86 CS-V3 exclusive racing challenge started this year, generating enough enthusiasm and feedback that the automaker decided to keep it running for 2014 and 2015 as well.
Toyota wants to do more about its motorsport series and it looks like the VLN at the Nurburgring provides the perfect platform for this, allowing the opportunity to participate to motorsport while keeping the costs down.

For a €2,500 annual fee and using the same Toyota GT 86 CS-V3 racecar, drivers get to test their skills on the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in a ten-round championship season. The fun is also rewarded with €20,000 for the 1st place, €14,000 for the 2nd and €10,000 for the 3rd place.

The racing-adapted GT 86 CS-V3 cars are known to beat the 10-minute barrier for a lap around the Nordschleife, with a stock 2-liter engine and only suspension and exhaust modifications.
